My Stylish Office Tour
Welcome to my office! If I have to work a 9 to 5, then it should be in a place that I am comfortable in and also stylish. A lot of my inspiration came from my garnet accent wall, I needed a print that worked with the color but also suited my likes and taste.
Let’s start with my accent wall. The wall is a big focal point in my office, so I wanted canvases that matched the color. My main colors were black, white, and gold with the garnet accent. My sister (who is basically my interior designer), recommend cheetah/leopard print because it included yellow and black in color and I like animals. So it worked out great. I purchased the prints from Ross and Burlington. They were the perfect size to fit the wall and not contrast.
Let’s talk about my bookshelf. I wanted elements that described me and reflected who I am. I love the objects with the quotes like my, “I drink coffee for your protection,” block because I am a beast without coffee in the morning. I also love my definition of success because it reminds me of the different ways that I can be successful based on my interpretation.
My shelves are a collection of items that are expressive and representative of me. I love sunglasses and traveling. One of my shelves has a collection of items that I purchased while traveling overseas. There’s something from Ireland, England, France, and The Netherlands.
I keep these little motivational quotes, like the one on my windowsill, all over my office. Work can be mentally and emotionally draining sometimes and it’s good to have positive quotes around me to get through the frustrating days. I also have my lovely portrait of Jax, my furbaby, to look at whenever I want. I also have a Keurig complete with K-cups to help me kickstart my day and keep me caffeinated during the day.
I really wanted my degrees displayed in my office. I hang my degrees in all of my offices because it is something that I am very proud of and that I hope will inspire others. I understand that higher education is not for everyone, but for those who are striving to enhance themselves with education, I hope to serve as a role model.
I chose to stagger stack my degrees and offset their positions with floating shelves that I bought from Burlington. The plants are from Target for $5. My custom KelsTells mug is from Vistaprint.
Other knick-knack items include little signs and portraits that are also leopard and cute that my sister got me from Hobby Lobby that I couldn’t resist adding to my office vibe.
Overall, I am very happy with the way that my office was styled. I hope that my selections will inspire you and give you some options for your interior design.
